    List of Ingredients






    1 Cup shortening
    2 Cups sugar
    4 Eggs
    1 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour
    1/3 Cup cocoa
    1/4 Teaspoon salt
    1 Tablespoon vanilla
    1 Cup chopped nuts
    1 16-ounce package miniature marshmallows

    Recipe



    Serves: 15 to 18
    Oven: 325 degrees
    Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Sift flour, cocoa and salt and add to mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into 9xl3-inch pan. Bake 40 to 45 minutes. While still warm, cover with marshmallows. When cool, spread icing.


    Icing

    1/3 Cup cocoa
    1 Pound powdered sugar
    1/2 Cup margarine, melted
    1/2 Cup cream or evaporated milk
    1 Teaspoon vanilla
    1 Cup nuts
    Sift cocoa with powdered sugar. To margarine, add dry ingredi ents, cream, vanilla and nuts. Blend and spread over cake.
