    Homemade Cracker Jacks

    List of Ingredients




    two-thirds cup popping corn
    2 sticks margarine
    1 teaspoon vinegar
    2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
    1 cup peanuts
    2 cup sorghum
    1/2 teaspoon soda
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Preheat"oven to 300 degrees. Pop corn and set aside in a large shallow pan. Boil together butter, sugar and vinegar for 5 minutes; remove from heat and add sorghum, soda, vanilla and peanuts. Pour over popped corn and stir.

    Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool before serving. Store in plastic container to preserve freshness.
