CABBAGE CASSEROLE
List of Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 lb Jimmy Dean hot sausage--or reg sausage
½ bell pepper (chopped)
1 stalk celery (chopped)
1 can Rotel tomatoes--- or reg tomatoes
1 head cabbage (sliced)
3/4 cup water
1 cup raw rice
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
½ stick butter or margarine
1 tbsp flour
Recipe
Brown ground meat, sausage, bell pepper, and celery together. Add cabbage, tomatoes, water, and rice. Cook for 30 minutes on low to medium heat, stirring occasionally.
In a separate bowl, mix together cheese, milk, butter, and flour; add this to
the rest of the mixture in the pot. Remove from heat.
Put entire mixture in a casserole dish; sprinkle more cheese on top. Bake for 1 hour uncovered at 350.
