    Barley Stroganoff Stew

    1 pound beef stew meat, cut into 1/4-inch strips
    1/2 cup barley
    2 tablespoons tomato paste
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
    1 cup water
    1 can Campbell's condensed golden mushroom soup
    2 cups sliced mushrooms
    1/2 cup sour cream

    Combine all ingredients except mushrooms and sour cream in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 7 hours. Stir in mushrooms. Cover; cook on high about 15 minutes. Turn off heat; stir in sour cream. Makes 4 to 5 servings.
