3/4 cup Butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
48 candy-coated chocolate-covered almond or peanut candy pieces
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar


Heat oven to 350°F. Combine butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in large mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed (1 to 2 minutes). Reduce speed to low; add flour. Beat, scraping bowl often, until well mixed (1 to 2 minutes). Shape dough around candy pieces into 1-inch balls. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until set. Remove from cookie sheet. Place powdered sugar in large plastic food bag. Shake 3 or 4 cookies at a time in sugar. Cool completely. Return 3 or 4 cookies at a time to bag with powdered sugar. Shake to coat again with powdered sugar.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.
