Makes one cocktail
1 lime, cut into quarters
2 tablespoons sugar
1 slice fresh, peeled ginger
Crushed ice
2 ounces cachaca (Brazilian Rum made from sugar cane)
Sugar cane stick, for garnish
1.Add lime quarters, sugar,and a little chopped ice to a mixing glass or cocktail shaker; muddle well, add ginger and a litle more ice, muddle just a little bit. You want to keep the ginger slice whole.
2.Fill an 8-ounce glass 3/4 full with crushed ice. Add the cachaca.
3.Pour the muddled mixture into glass with cachaca. Stir well to make sure sugar dissolves completely. Garnish with sugar cane stick
