1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 (7-ounce) can diced green chiles, drained
1/2 pound cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 pound jack cheese, shredded
3 eggs
2 cups milk
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup biscuit mix
Melt butter in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Arrange chiles in a layer in bottom of pan. Cover with cheddar and jack cheeses.
Mix eggs, milk, salt and biscuit mix in a bowl. Pour over cheese in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees until golden, 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool slightly and cut into squares. Serve warm.
