To serve, heat in a saucepan just until warm. spoon over waffles, pancakes, or ice cream.
List of Ingredients
2 c fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 c water
1/3 c sugar
2 tsp lime juice or lemon juice
In a med. saucepan combine 1 c of the blueberries, the water, the sugar, and lime or lemon juice. Cook and stir over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring ocasionally.
Stir in the remaining 1 c blueberries and cook, stirring ocasionally, 2 to 3 minutes more or until blueberries become soft. Cover and refrigerate syrup for up to 1 week. Makes 1 c syrup.
