    List of Ingredients

    1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
    1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
    1 tablespoon dried green pepper flakes
    1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
    2 teaspoons beef-flavored bouillon granules
    1/2 teaspoon dried shredded green onions
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 teaspoon dried whole thyme
    1/4 teaspoon red pepper

    Combine all ingredients for jambalaya mix, stirring well. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Makes 1 1/4 cups mix or 1 gift. Give with a recipe card with directions for use.

    Recipe card: Combine 1 1/4 cups rice mix, 2 cups water and an 8-ounce can of tomato sauce in a Dutch oven. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in 1 pound smoked sausage (cut in 1/4-inch slices) and 1 cup chopped cooked ham. (Also good made with cooked chicken or shrimp). Cook until thoroughly heated. Serves 6.
