Chow Chow
List of Ingredients
3 med. cabbage
1 qt. onion(Vidalia onion is the best)
1 qt. green tomatos
2 qts. cucumber
6 large green bell pepper
6 large red bell pepper
Grate all. Soak overnight in Gallon of water & 1 cup salt. Drain.
1-1/2 cups flour
5 cups sugar
2 qts. vinegar
6 T.dry mustard
2 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. celery seed
Recipe
Mix all together. Add vinegar mix to veggies. Cook & stir over med. heat til thick.
Put in hot jars leaving 1/4 inch head space. Makes 8 to 10 quarts.
