Recipe Introduction
This tastes best when you don't use the darkest green stalks on the outside of a full bunch of celery. Chop the celery and onion to equal the size of the pickle relish, and do not chop any of it in a food processor. The texture is a big part of the taste and processors destroy a uniform texture.
List of Ingredients
Makes about 1 ¾ quarts
1 quart Blue Plate mayonnaise
¼ cup prepared yellow mustard
1 cup Mt. Olive dill relish, drained
1 cup finely minced celery
1 cup finely minced yellow onion
Blend all ingredients together well and pour back into two mayo jars or seven eight-ounce jars.
Tartar sauce is great as a sandwich spread, or for making quick and easy potato, tuna, egg, or chicken salad.
