    Caramel Corn Caramel Apples

    16 oz. package Crunch 'n Munch caramel popcorn with peanuts

    2/3 cup dry-roasted peanuts

    6 wooden sticks

    6 medium (MacIntosh) apples

    1 package (14 oz.) individually wrapped caramels

    2 tablespoons water

    In food processor chop peanuts into small pieces. Place peanuts in medium-size bowl. Repeat process with caramel corn. Mix peanuts and caramel corn together. Set aside.

    Insert wooden sticks into end of apples. Set aside.

    Heat caramels and water in large microwave-safe bowl 2 to 3 minutes or until melted and smooth, stirring every minute.

    Dip apples into melted caramel, spooning caramel over apples to coat. Allow excess caramel to drip off, scraping bottom if necessary. Immediately dip apples into peanut caramel corn mixture and coat evenly.

    Place on greased wax paper. Let stand about 15 minutes or until caramel sets.

    Makes 6 servings
