    1 can (about 14 oz) garbanzo beans (chickpeas, chi chi beans)
    1/2 – 1 clove crushed garlic
    ¼ tsp cumin (or try oregano or any other seasoning)
    1 tsp tahini (sesame seed paste or butter)
    juice from ½ lemon
    1 T olive oil
    water

    Recipe



    Place first 6 ingredients in blender and pulse. Add about ¼ cup of water, a small amount at a time, until ingredients are smooth. Add more water if necessary.

    Options: Add ½ - 1 roasted red pepper or try sundried tomatoes. Add these ingredients before adding water.
