BACON & CREAM CHEESE STUFFED MUSHROOMS
List of Ingredients
- 8 OUNCES CREAM CHEESE, SOFTENED
- 6 TO 8 STRIPS OF BACON, FRIED AND CRUMBLED, RESERVING FAT
- 1 SMALL ONION FINELY CHOPPED UP
- 20 TO 25 LARGE MUSHROOMS, STEMS REMOVED
- ABOUT 8 MUSHROOMS STEMS FINELY CHOPPED
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
- SAUTE ONION AND MUSHROOM STEMS IN THE RESERVED BACON FAT UNTIL TENDER. DRAIN OFF EXCESS FAT.
- MIX BACON, ONION AND STEMS WITH SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE UNTIL MIX WELL AND IS WORKABLE.
- STUFF EACH MUSHROOM AND BAKE IN OVEN FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES. FINISH BAKING UNDER THE BROILER JUST UNTIL THE TOPS ARE GOLDEN.
