FRIED DILL PICKLES
List of Ingredients
- 1 CUP FLOUR
- 1/4 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/8 TEASPOON BLACK PEPPER
- 1/2 CUP MILK
- 1 EGG
- 1 12 CUPS SLICED THIN DILL PICKLES
- OIL FOR FRYING
Instructions
- COMBINE FLOUR, SALT AND PEPPER IN A BOWL.
- LIGHTLY BEAT EGG IN A BOWL. ADD MILK AND MIX WELL.
- HEAT ABOUT 2" OF OIL TO 325°.
- DIP PICKLE SLICES IN FLOUR MIXTURE, THEN IN THE EGG MIXTURE, THEN AGAIN IN THE FLOUR.
- CAREFULLY DROP PICKLES INTO THE OIL A FEW AT A TIME. FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN, ABOUT 8 MINUTES, TURNING ONCE. REMOVE FROM POT AND DRAIN ON PAPER TOWELS. SERVE WARM
