    ONION CHEESE PUFFS


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 SMALL SWEET VADALIA ONION
    • 1/2 CUP MAYONNAISE
    • 3 TO 4 TABLESPOONS GRATED PARMIGIANO REGGIANO CHEESE
    • 2 TABLESPOONS FINELY CHOPPED FRESH PARSLEY
    • SALT AND WHITE PEPPER TO TASTE
    • 8 SLICES WHITE BREAD, CRUST REMOVED


    Instructions


    1. IN A BOWL, COMBINE MAYONNAISE WITH CHOPPED ONION, CHEESE, PARSLEY, SALT AND PEPPER. MIX WELL TO INCORPORATE ALL INGREDIENTS.
    2. WITH BREAD SLICES, YOU CAN CUT OUT ROUNDS OR CUT INTO 4 PIECES. PLACE ON A COOKIE SHEET AND BAKE IN A PREHEATED 350° OVEN UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN, APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 15 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND LET COOL SLIGHTLY.
    3. SPREAD 1 TEASPOON OF MIXTURE ONTO EACH PIECE OF TOASTED BREAD AND SPRINKLE WITH SOME CHEESE. PLACE IN OVEN AND BROIL FOR 1 TO 2 MINUTES.


    Final Comments


    1/2" THICK SLICES OF FRENCH BREAD CAN BE SUBSTITUTED FOR WHITE BREAD.
