PARMESAN CHEESE BITES
List of Ingredients
- 1 CUP FLOUR
- 2/3 CUPS GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE
- 1/4 TEASPOON GROUND RED PEPPER
- 1/2 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE, CUT UP
- 2 TABLESPOONS MILK
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
- COMBINE FLOUR, CHEESE, RED PEPPER AND BUTTER IN A FOOD PROCESSOR AND BLEND WELL.
- REMOVE FROM BOWL AND SHAPE DOUGH INTO 2 ( 4") LOGS. WRAP IN PLASTIC WRAP AND PLACE IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER AND CHILL FOR 8 HOURS.
- CUT DOUGH INTO 1/4" THICK SLICES AND PLACE ON A LIGHTLY GREASED BAKING SHEET. BRUSH WITH MILK AND BAKE FOR 12 TO 15 MINUTES UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWNED.
- UNBAKED DOUGH, WRAPPED CAN BE FROZEN UP TO 3 WEEKS. THAW DOUGH IN REFRIGERATOR OVERNIGHT.
- BAKED CHEESE BITES CAN BE FROZEN UP TO 3 WEEKS. THAW AT ROOM TEMPERATURE FOR 2 HOURS BEFORE SERVING.
