    List of Ingredients


    • 8 LARGE PORTABELLA MUSHROOMS, STEMS AND BROWN GILLS REMOVED
    • OLIVE OIL
    • 3 ( 10 OUNCE) SWEET ITALIAN SAUSAGE, REMOVED FROM CASING
    • DRIED RED PEPPER, CRUSHED
    • 1 CUP MARINARA SAUCE
    • 1 CUP GRATED MOZARELLA CHEESE
    • 8 FRESH BASIL LEAVES


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
    2. BRUSH MUSHROOMS WITH OIL, ARRANGE MUSHROOMS TOP SIDE DOWN ON BAKING SHEET. BAKE UNTIL ALMOST TENDER, ABOUT 8 TO 10 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND SET ASIDE. DO NOT TURN OFF OVEN.
    3. SAUTE SAUSAGE IN SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL BROWNED AND COOKED THROUGH BREAKING UP THE SAUSAGE. REMOVE SAUSAGE FROM SKILLET.
    4. DIVIDE SAUSAGE AMOUNG MUSHROOM CAPS. TOP ECH WITH CRUSHED RED PEPPER, 2 TABLESPOONS MARANARA SAUCE AND 2 TABLESPOONS MOZZARELLA CHEESE.
    5. PLACE STUFFED MUSHROOMS BAKE IN OVEN AND BAKE UNTIL HEATED THROUGH, APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 12 MINUTES. TOP EACH WITH A BASIL LEAF.
