    SIMPLE POPOVERS LITE VERSION

    BECAUSE THIS RECIPE CALLS FOR FAT FREE ( SKIM ) MILK, IT IS IMPORTANT TO USE A BLENDER IN ORDER TO BLEND THE FLOUR THOROUGHLY INTO THE BATTER.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 EGG PLUS 2 EGG WHITES
    • 1 CUP FLOUR ( DO NOT USE SELF RISING FLOUR)
    • 1 CUP FAT FREE ( SKIM) MILK
    • 1/2 TEASPOON SALT


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 450°. SPRAY 6 CUP POPOVER PAN OR SIX ( 6 OUNCE) CUSTARD CUPS WITH COOKING SPRAY.
    2. PLACE ALL INGREDIENTS IN A BLENDER IN ORDER LISTED. COVER AND BLEND ON MEDIUM SPEED FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS, STOPPING BLENDER TO SCRAPE SIDES IF NECESSARY, JUST UNTIL SMOOTH.
    3. FILL CUPS ABOUT 1/2 FULL AND BAKE 20 MINUTES. REDUCE OVEN TEMPERATURE TO 350° AND BAKE ABOUT 20 MINUTES LONGER OR UNTIL DEEP GOLDEN BROWN. IMMEDIATELY REMOVE FROM CUPS AND SERVE HOT.
