    List of Ingredients


    • 1 CUP SUGAR
    • 1 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
    • 1/3 CUP SLIVERED ALMONDS
    • 1/4 CUP VEGETABLE OIL
    • 2 TEASPOONS GROUND CINNAMON
    • 1/2 TEASPOON GROUND CLOVES
    • 1/4 TEASPOON GROUND NUTMEG
    • 1 TABLESPOON APPLE CIDER
    • 2 EGG WHITES
    • 1 EGG
    • 1/3 CUP SOUR CREAM
    • 2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 375°. LIGHTLY SPRAY BAKING SHEETS
    2. IN A MIXER BOWL, COMBINE SUGAR, BROWN SUGAR, ALMONDS, VEGETABLE OIL, CINNAMON,CLOVES, NUTMEG, APPLE CIDER, EGG WHITES, AND EGG, BEAT WITH MIXER AT A LOW SPEED FOR 1 MINUTE.
    3. IN ANOTHER BOWL, COMBINE FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER. GRADUALLY ADD THE FLOUR MIXTURE TO THE MIXING BOWL, BEATING UNTIL THE DOUGH IS BLENDED AND SOFT.
    4. TURN DOUGH ONTO A LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE AND SHAPE INTO A 16" LOG. CAREFULLY PLACE ON A BAKING SHEET, FLATTEN THE LOG UNTIL IT IS 3/4" THICK.
    5. BAKE FOR 25 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND CAREFULLY LOOSEN THE EDGES OF THE LOG WITH A METAL SPATULA.
    6. INVERT ONTO A WIRE RACK AND ALLOW TO COOL 10 MINUTES.
    7. CUT THE LOG INTO 1/2 TO 3/4" DIAGONAL SLICES. RETURN TO OVEN AND BAKE 10 MINUTES LONGER ON EACH SIDE FOR A HARD BISCOTTI.
    8. IF YOU PERFER A SOFTER BISCOTTI, DO NOT RETURN TO OVEN AFTER YOU HAVE SLICED THEM
    9. 2 DOZEN
