    ITALIAN CHEESE TWISTS


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 CUP BUTTER SOFTENED
    • 1/4 TEASPOON GARLIC POWDER
    • 1/4 TEASPOON DRIED BASIL, OREGANO AND MARJORAM MIXED
    • 3/4 CUP SHREDDED MOZZARELLA CHEESE
    • 1 EGG
    • 1 TABLESPOON WATER
    • 2 TABLESPOONS SESAME SEEDS AND GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE
    • 1 LOAF ( 1 LB) FROZEN BREAD DOUGH THAWED


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 375°. GREASE BAKING SHEET AND SET ASAIDE.
    2. ON A LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE, ROLL DOUGH INTO A 12" SQUARE.
    3. COMBINE BUTTER AND SEASONINGS, SPREAD OVER DOUGH. SPRINKLE WITH MOZZARAELLA CHEESE.
    4. FOLD DOUGH INTO THRIDS. CUT CROSSWISE INTO 24 STRIPS, 1/2" WIDE.
    5. TWIST EACH STRIP TWICE, PINCH ENDS TO SEAL. PLACE 2" APART ON A GREASED BAKING SHEET. COVER AND LET RISE IN A WARM PLACE UNTIL ALMOST DOUBLED IN SIZE, ABOUT 30 MINUTES.
    6. IN A SMALL BOWL, BEAT EGG AND WATER, BRUSH OVER THE TWISTS. SPRINKLE WITH SESAME SEEDS AND PARMESAN CHEESE AND BAKE FOR 10 TO 12 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHTLY GOLDEN BROWN.
    7. 2 DOZEN

    DELICIOUS WITH ANY ITALIAN DISH OR AS AN APPETIZER SERVED WITH HEATED SAUCE.
