PIZZA DOUGH
List of Ingredients
- 3/4 CUPS WARM WATER, ( 105 TO 115°)
- 1 TEASPOON HONEY
- 1 PACKAGE DRY YEAST
- 2 CUPS BREAD FLOUR
- 1 1/2 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL
- 3/4 TEASPOONS SALT
Instructions
- PLACE WARM WATER AND HONEY IN FOOD PROCESSOR. SPRINKLE YEAST OVER IT, LET STAND UNTIL MIXTURE IS BUBBLY, ABOUT 5 MINUTES. ADD FLOUR, OIL AND SALT.
- PROCESS UNTIL DOUGH FORMS. TURN DOUGH OUT ONTO LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE. KNEAD UNTIL SMOOTH, ABOUT 5 MINUTES. ( YOU CAN DO THIS PART IN THE FOOD PROCESSOR TO SAVE TIME KNEADING).
- TRANSFER DOUGH TO A LARGE OILED BOWL, TURN TO COAT. COVER WITH PLASTIC WRAP, THEN WITH A TOWEL. LET DOUGH RISE IN A WARM DRAFT FREE AREA UNTIL DOUBLED IN SIZE, APPROXIMATELY 1 1/2 HOURS. ( YOU CAN ALSO USE A 2 GALLON ZIP LOCK BAG WHICH IS OILED. THIS WORKS GREAT)
- PUNCH DOWN DOUGH. DIVIDE INTO 2 EQUAL BALLS. ROLL OUT DOUGH TO DESIRED THICKNESS, PLACE ON A PIZZA PAN.
- YOU CAN FREEZE DOUGH IN FREEZER WRAPPED TIGHTLY.
