    BREAKFAST FRUIT BARS

    THESE ARE DELICIOUS AND VERY TASTY.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 CUPS WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR
    • 1 CUP OATMEAL
    • 1 CUP WHEAT GERM
    • 2 TEASPOONS BAKING SODA
    • 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
    • 1 ( 20 OZ.) CAN CRUSHED PINEAPPLE ( DRAINED )
    • 2 CUPS SHREDDED CARROTS
    • 2 TEASPOONS VANILLA EXTRACT
    • 1/4 CUP HONEY
    • 1 RIPE BANANA, MASHED
    • 2 CUPS DRIED FRUIT CUT INTO BITE SIZE PIECES ( YOUR CHOICE)


    Instructions


    1. SPRAY WITH VEGETABLE SPRAY A 13 X 9" BAKING PAN.
    2. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
    3. MIX WHEAT FLOUR, OATMEAL, WHEAT GERM, BAKING SODA AND CINNAMON TOGETHER AND SET ASIDE.
    4. MIX PINEAPPLE, CARROTS, VANILLA, HONEY AND BANANA. ADD TO DRY INGREDIENTS AND MIX WELL. IF MIXTURE IS TOO DRY, YOU CAN ADD 1/4 TO 1/2 CUP OF FRUIT JUICE OF YOUR CHOICE, START WITH A 1/4 CUP FIRST. ADD DRIED FRUITS.
    5. SPREAD IN PAN AND BAKE FOR 25 TO 30 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND COOL ON A WIRE RACK. CUT INTO 15 TO 20 PIECES.
    6. WRAP INDIVIDUALLY IN PLASTIC WRAP AND REFRIGERATE OR FREEZE AND THAW AS NEEDED.
