CHERRY OR APPLE TURNOVER PIES

- 2 CUPS SIFTED FLOUR, SIFT BEFORE MEASURING
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 2 TABLESPOON SUGAR
- 3/4 CUPS CRISCO
- 4 TABLESPOONS WATER
- CHERRY OR APPLE PIE FILLING
- 1/2 CUP CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR
- 1 TABLESPOONS MILK
- FEW DROPS VANILLA
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 425°.
- COMBINE FLOUR, SALT AND SUGAR. CUT IN CRISCO TILL CRUMBS FORM. SPRINKLE WITH WATER 1 TABLESPOON AT A TIME, MIXING LIGHTLY WITH A FORK.
- PLACE MIXTURE ON A FLOURED SURFACE AND ROLL OUT INTO A 10" SQUARE, CUT 4 ( 5" ) SQUARES.
- PLACE 3 TABLESPOONS OF PIE FOLLING IN CENTER, FOLD DOUGH INTO A TRIANGLE, PINCHING EDGES TOGETHER WELL.
- PLACE ON SHEET PAN AND BAKE FOR 12 TO 15 MINUTES OR TILL LIGHTLY BROWNED. DRIZZLE WITH A GLAZE. CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR MIXED WITH MILK TO OF DRIZZLING CONSISTENCY.
