DROP FRIED DOUGHNUTS
List of Ingredients
- 3 CUPS FLOUR
- 2 EGGS
- 2/3 CUPS SUGAR
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/4 CUP VEGETABLE OIL
- 1 CUP MILK
- 4 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
- 2 CUPS OIL FOR FRYING
Instructions
- COMBINE TOGETHER SUGAR, MILK EGGS AND OIL. ADD FLOUR, SALT, BAKING POWDER, MIXING ALL INGREDIENTS LIGHTLY.
- HEAT THE OIL IN A 2 QUART SAUCE PAN TILL HOT. DROP A TINY PIECE OF DOUGH TO SEE IF OIL IS HOT.
- DROP DOUGH BY TEASPOONFUL INTO HOT OIL.
- FRY FOR 2 TO 3 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN ON BOTH SIDES.
REMOVE FROM PAN AND DRAIN ON PAPER TOWELS AND ROLL IN SUGAR WHILE STILL HOT, OR YOU CAN ROLL IN CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR OR A COMBINATION OF CINNAMON AND SUGAR.
