ORANGE BREAKFAST RING
List of Ingredients
- 1 CUP SUGAR
- 3 TABLESPOONS GRATED ORANGE RIND
- 2 ( 12 OUNCE CANS) REFRIGERATED BUTTERMILK BISCUITS
- 1/3 CUP MELTED BUTTER
- 3 OUNCE PACKAGE CREAM CHEESE, SOFTENEDD
- 1/2 CUP SIFTED POWDERED SUGAR, SIFT BEFORE MEASURING
- 2 TABLESPOONS ORANGE JUICE
Instructions
- COMBINE SUGAR AND ORANGE RIND.
- SEPARATE BISCUITS, DIP EACH IN MELTED BUTTER AND THEN COAT WITH SUGAR ORANGE RIND MIXTURE. STAND BISCUITS ON SIDES, OVERLAPPING THE EDGES IN A LIGHTLY GREASED 10" TUBE PAN.
- BAKE IN A PREHEATED 350° OVEN FOR 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. COOL FOR 5 MINUTES, THEN INVERT ONTO SERVING PLATTER.
- COMBINE CREAM CHEESE AND CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR BEATING UNTIL SMOOTH. ADD ORANGE JUICE AND STIR TO BLEND. SPOON MIXTURE OVER TOP OF RING WHILE STILL HOT. SERVE WARM
