    List of Ingredients


    • 4 SLICES WHITE BREAD 1" THICK
    • 4 OUNCES OF SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE
    • 3 TABLESPOONS FRUIT SPREAD OR JAM, YOUR CHOICE
    • 2/3 CUPS MILK
    • 2 EGGS
    • 1 TEASPOON SUGAR
    • 1 TEASPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
    • 1/2 TEASPOON CINNAMON
    • 2 CUPS SLICED FRUIT, YOUR CHOICE
    • 2 TABLESPOONS POWDERED SUGAR


    Instructions


    1. CUT EACH BREAD SLICE IN HALF CROSSWISE. WITH A SHARP KNIFE CUT A HORIZONTAL SLIT IN EACH HALF SLICE TO MAKE A POCKET.
    2. IN A MEDIUM BOWL, COMBINE CREAM CHEESE AND FRUIT SPREAD. STIR TILL SMOOTH.
    3. SPREAD 1/8 OF THE MIXTURE IN EACH BREAD POCKET. PINCH EDGES OF BREAD TOGETHER TO HOLD THE FILLING.
    4. IN A SHALLOW BOWL, WHISK TOGETHER MILK, EGG, SUGAR, VANILLA AND CINNAMON.
    5. DIP FILLED BREAD IN EGG MIXTURE TO COAT BOTH SIDES. COOK ABOUT 6 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN TURNING ONCE.
    6. TOP WITH SLICED FRUIT AND SPRINKLE POWDERED SUGAR OVER THE TIP.
    7. 4 SERVINGS.
