    SWEET CREAM BISCUITS


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 3/4 CUPS SIFTED FLOUR, SIFT BEFORE MEASURING
    • 1 TABLESLPOON SUGAR
    • 1 TABLESPOON BAKING POWDER
    • 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
    • 6 TABLESPOONS SWEET COLD BUTTER CUT INTO SMALL PIECES
    • 3/4 CUP COLD WHIPPING CREAM


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 450°.
    2. SIFT THE FLOUR WITH THE SUGAR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT INTO A LARGE BOWL.
    3. USING A PASTRY BLENDER OR YOUR FINGERTIPS, CUT IN BUTTER UNTIL MIXTURE RESEMBLES COARSE CRUMBS. ADD THE COLD CREAM TO DRY INGREDIENTS AND STIR JUST UNTIL COMBINED, "DO NOT OVERMIX".
    4. TURN DOUGH OUT ONTO A LIGHTLY FLOURED WORK SURFACE AND KNEAD JUST UNTIL DOUGH FORMS.
    5. PAT OUT DOUGH TO 1/4 OR 1/2" THICKNESS. CUT OUT CIRCLES USING A FLOURED CUTTER.
    6. GATHER SCRAPS AND REPEAT THE PROCESS UNTIL ALL DOUGH IS USED.
    7. TRANSFER THE BISCUITS TO AN UNGREASED BAKING SHEET AND BAKE FOR 10 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
