List of Ingredients
- 8 OZ. PACKAGE CHOPPED DATES, FINELY CHOPPED
- 1 PILLSBURY PLUS LEMON CAKE MIX
- 1 CUP SOUR CREAM
- 1/3 CUP SOFTENED BUTTER
- 1/4 CUP WATER
- 3 EGGS
- 2 TABLESLPOONS MELTED BUTTER
- CINNAMON SUGAR:
- 3 TABLESPONS SUGAR
- 1/2 TEASPOON CINNAMON
- ( MIX SUGAR AND CINNAMON AND SET ASIDE)
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°. GREASE AND FLOUR 2 ( 9 X 5") LOAF PANS.
- COMBINE CAKE MIX, SOUR CREAM, SOFT BUTTER, WATER AND EGGS AND BEAT AT LOW SPEED UNTIL MOISTENED, BEAT 2 MORE MINUTES AT HIGH SPEED. STIR IN DATES.
- POUR INTO PANS AND BAKE 40 TO 50 MINUTES OR UNTIL TESTER COMES OUT CLEAN.
- COOL 15 MINUTES IN PANS, THEN REMOVE AND COOL COMPLETELY ON WIRE RACK.
- BRUSH TOPS WITH MELTED BUTTER AND SPRINKLE WITH CINNAMON SUGAR MIXTURE.
