    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 CUP FLOUR
    • 1/2 CUP YELLOW CORNMEAL
    • 1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
    • 1 TABLESPOON SUGAR
    • 1 EGG, LIGHTLY BEATEN
    • 1 CUP CREAMED CORN
    • 2 TABLESPOON VEGETABLE OIL
    • ABOUT 1/2 CUP MILK


    Instructions


    1. SIFT DRY INGREDIENTS INTO A BIG BOWL.
    2. MIX THE EGG, CORN AND OIL IN ANOTHER BOWL.
    3. COMBINE THE 2 MIXTURES AND THEN ADD ENOUGH MILK TO MAKE A THIN BATTER.
    4. HEAT AND GREASE A GRIDDLE, MEASURE ABOUT 1/4 CUP OF THE BATTER AND PLACE ON THE GRIDDLE. COOK UNTIL THE BUBBLES ON TOP BURST, TAKING A PEEK FROM TIME TO TIME TO MAKE SURE THAT THE BOTTOM ISN'T GETTING TOO DARK.
    5. TURN AND COOK UNTIL GOLDEN ON OTHER SIDE.
    6. MAKES 10 TO 12 CAKES.
