CREAMSICLE CAKE
IF YOU LIKE CREAMSICLE POPS, YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS CAKE. SOMETIMES, I SPRINKLE WITH SOME COCONUT, PLAIN OR TOASTED.
List of Ingredients
- 1 BOX DUNCAN HINES ORANGE CAKE MIX
- 1 ( 3.4 OZ.) BOX OF ORANGE JELLO
- 1 CUP HOT WATER
- 1 CUP COLD WATER
- 1 ( 8 OZ.) SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE
- 1 ( 3.4 OZ) PACKAGE OF INSTANT VANILLA OR CHEESECAKE FLAVORED PUDDING MIX
- 1 ( 3.4 OZ.) BOX ORANGE JELLO ( DRY)
- 1 CUP MILK
- 1 TEASPOON VANILLA
- 1 ( 8 OZ.) CONTAINER COOL WHIP THAWED
Instructions
- BAKE CAKE ACCORDING TO THE PACKAGE DIRECTIONS IN A GREASED 9 X 13" BAKING PAN. WHEN CAKE IS DONE, POKE HOLES ALL OVER CAKE WITH A MEAT FORK. LET COOL ON A WIRE RACK ABOUT 30 MIXUTES.
- IN A BOWL, MIX TOGETHER THE ORANGE JELLO, HOT WATER, COLD WATER UNTIL BLENDED. SLOWLY POUR OVER CAKE AND ALLOW IT TO RUN INTO THE HOLES THAT YOU HAVE MADE. REFRIGERATE CAKE APPROXIMATELY 2 TO 3 HOURS OR UNTIL THOROUGHLY CHILLED.
IN A LARGE BOWL, BEAT CREAM CHEESE UNTIL CREAMY. ADD THE BOX OF ORANGE JELLO, PUDDING MIX, MILK AND VANILLA. BEAT WILL. FOLD IN COOL WHIP. SPREAD ON CAKE AND REFRIGERATE.
- NOTE: IF YOU CAN'T FIND ORANGE CAKE MIX. YOU CAN SUBSTITUTE A YELLOW CAKE MIX WITH 2 TEASPOONS ORANGE EXTRACT.
- YOU CAN ALSO CHANGE THE FLAVOR BY SUBSTITUTING STRAWBERRY CAKE MIX AND STRAWBERRY JELLO OR CHERRY CAKE MIX AND CHERRY JELLO OR PINEAPPLE CAKE MIX WITH PINEAPPLE JELLO. THEY ARE ALL DELICIOUS.
