CHOCOLATE SWIRLED CHEESECAKE

- 2 CUPS CHOCOLATE WAFER CRUMBS
- 5 TABLESPOONS BUTTER, MELTED

- FILLING:
- 3 ( 8 OUNCE PACKAGES) SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE
- 1 CUP SUGAR
- 5 EGGS
- 2 SQUARES ( 1 OUNCE EACH) SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE, MELTED

- FROSTING:
- 6 SQUARES ( 1 OUNCE EACH) SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE MELTED
- 1/2 CUP SOUR CREAM
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 300°.
- IN A MEDIUM BOWL, MIX THE CRUST INGREDIENTS TOGETHER UNTIL WELL BLENDED. PRESS INTO A 9" SPRINGFORM PAN. SET ASIDE.
- IN A LARGE BOWL, BEAT TOGETHER CREAM CHEESE, SUGAR AND EGGS ON MEDIUM SPEED TILL SMOOTH AND FLUFFY. SPOON HALF OF THE CREAM CHEESE MIXTURE INTO CRUST.
- STIR MELTED CHOCOLATE INTO REMAINING CREAM CHEESE MIXTURE TILL WELL BLENDED. DRIZZLE OVER BATTER IN A SWIRLING FASHION.
- BAKE FOR 50 MINUTES, REMOVE FROM OVEN AND TRANSFER TO A WIRE RACK. COOL COMPLETELY.
- TRANSFER CHEESECAKE TO A SERVING PLATE, COVER WITH PLASTIC WRAP AND CHILL FOR 2 TO 4 HOURS. UNCOVER CHEESECAKE AND CAREFULLY REMOVE THE SIDE OF PAN. SPREAD WITH FROSTING. CHILL BRIEFLY TILL FROSTING IS SET.
- IN A SMALL BOWL, MIX TOGETHER MELTED CHOCOLATE AND SOUR CREAM.
