    List of Ingredients


    • 1/3 CUPS ELMER'S GLUE
    • 1 LB GROUND CINNAMON
    • 1 CUP MORE OR LESS UNSWEETENED APPLESAUCE
    • 1/4 CUP GROUOND CLOVES


    Instructions


    1. COMBINE THE SPICES TOGETHER. MIX IN APPLESAUCE 1/4 CUP AT A TIME UNTIL YOU GET A STIFF BUT SOMEWHAT STICKY DOUGH.
    2. GREASE A COOKIE SHEET WITH A VEGETABLE SPRAY AND GREASE YOUR HANDS.
    3. PAT DOUGH ONTO A GREASED SURFACE AND CUT OUT WITH CHRISTMAS COOKIE CUTTERS, BEAR SHAPES AND GINGERBREAD MEN SHAPES LOOK GOOD WITH THE BROWN DOUGH, YOU CAN ADD FACES WITH WHOLE CLOVES.
    4. CAREFULLY PUT THE COOKIES ONTO A COOKIE SHEET AND POKE A HOLE IN THE TOP FOR THE HANGER AND BAKE IN A PREHEATED 300° OVEN UNTIL HARD, 15 MINUTES OR SO, DEPENDING HOW THICK THE DOUGH IS, KEEP CHECKING UNTIL THEY ARE NO LONGER STICKY. LET COOL AND TIE WITH A RIBBON TO HANG.
