CREAM CHEESE COFFEE CAKE RING

- 8 RHODES TEXAS ROLLS, THAWED, RISEN AND SOFT, ABOUT 4 TO 5 HOURS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
- 8 OUONCE SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE
- 1/4 CUP SUGAR
- 1/4 CUP GOLDEN RAISINS
- 1 TEASPOON LEMON JUICE
- 1 TABLESPOON BUTTER OR MARGARINE, MELTED
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
IN A SMALL BOWL, BLEND CREAM CHEESE, SUGAR, LEMON JUICE AND BUTTER. ADD RAISINS, SET ASIDE.
- KNEAD THE ROLLS TOGETHER. ROLL OUT THE DOUGH ON A LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE FORMING A 12" X 15" RECTANGLE.
- SPREAD WITH FILLING. STARTING WITH SHORTER SIDE, ROLL UP DOUGH TIGHTLY. PINCH EDGES TO SEAL. FORM A RING AND PLACE SEAM SIDE DOWN ON A SPRAYED COOKED SHEET.
- WITH SCISSORS, MAKE CUTS ABOUT 3/4" FROM THE CENTER ABOUT 1 1/2"'S APART. TURN EACH SLICE ON ITS SIDE, RESTING ON THE ADJOINING SLICE. COVER WITH A LIGHTLY SPRAYED PLASTIC WRAP AND LET RISE UNTIL ALMOST DOUBLED IN SIZE. REMOVE WRAP AND BAKE FOR 20 TO 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. GLAZE WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING WHILE STILL WARM.
