CREAM CHEESE COFFEE CAKIE RING

- 1 QUICK COOKING SWEET DOUGH ( POSTED UNDER BREADS)
- 6 OUNCES SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE
- 1/4 CUP SUGAR
- 1 TABLESPOON SOFTENED BUTTER
- 1 TEASPOON LEMON JUICE
- GLAZE:
- 1 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
- 1 TABLESPOON SOFTENED BUTTER
- 1/2 TEASPOON VANILLA
- 2 TABLESPOONS MILK, AS NEEDED
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 375°.
- IN A MIXING BOWL, BEAT CREAM CHEESE, SUGAR, BUTTER AND LEMON JUICE UNTIL SMOOTH AND FLUFFY. SET ASIDE.
- PLACE THE SWEET DOUGH ONTO A LIGHTLY FLOURED BOARD. ROLL OUT INTO A 15 BY 12" RECTANGLE. SPREAD FILLING WITHIN 1/2" OF EDGE.
- ROLL DOUGH UP JELLY ROLL STYLE, STARTING WITH THE LONG SIDE, PINCH SEAMS TO SEAL. PLACE SEAM SIDE DOWN ON A GREASED 12" PIZZA PAN.
- PINCH EDGES TOGETHER TO FORM A RING. WITH SCISSORS, CUT FROM OUTSIDE EDGES 2/3 OF THE WAY TOWARDS CENTER OF RING MAKING 1 1/2" SLICES. SEPERATE PIECES BY TWISTING TO EXPOSE THE FILLING.
- COVER AND LET RISE IN A WARM PLACE UNTIL DOUBLED IN SIZE 45 MINUTES TO 1 HOUR.
- BAKE FOR 20 TO 25 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. REMOVE FROM OVEN TO A WIRE RACK TO COOL.
- GLAZE: COMBINE POWDERED SUGAR, BUTTER, VANILLA UNTIL SMOOTH ADD ENOUGH MILK TO REACH OF SPREADING CONSISTENCY. DRIZZLE OVER COFFEE CAKE.
