PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH COFFEE CAKE
List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 CUP SUGAR
- 1/2 CUP OIL OR CRISCO
- 2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
- 1 CUP MILK OR 1/2 AND 1/2
- 1 EGG
- 1 TEASPOON VANILLA
- 1/4 TEASPOON SALT
- 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
- 1/2 TEASPOON GROUND CLOVES
- 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°. GREASE 2 ( 8" ) PANS. SET ASIDE.
- CREAM OIL AND SUGAR, MIXING THOROUGHLY. ADD FLOUR, MILK, EGG, VANILLA, SALT, CINNAMON, CLOVES AND BAKING SODA, BEATING WELL TO INCORPORATE ALL INGREDIENTS.
- POUR INTO BAKING PANS AND BAKE FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES.
Final Comments
DUST WITH POWDERED SUGAR IF DESIRED. GREAT HOT OR COLD.
