    PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH COFFEE CAKE


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 CUP SUGAR
    • 1/2 CUP OIL OR CRISCO
    • 2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1 CUP MILK OR 1/2 AND 1/2
    • 1 EGG
    • 1 TEASPOON VANILLA
    • 1/4 TEASPOON SALT
    • 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
    • 1/2 TEASPOON GROUND CLOVES
    • 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°. GREASE 2 ( 8" ) PANS. SET ASIDE.
    2. CREAM OIL AND SUGAR, MIXING THOROUGHLY. ADD FLOUR, MILK, EGG, VANILLA, SALT, CINNAMON, CLOVES AND BAKING SODA, BEATING WELL TO INCORPORATE ALL INGREDIENTS.
    3. POUR INTO BAKING PANS AND BAKE FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES.


    Final Comments


    DUST WITH POWDERED SUGAR IF DESIRED. GREAT HOT OR COLD.
