ALMOND CRESCENTS
List of Ingredients
- 3/4 CUP AND 2 TABLESPOONS BUTTER
- 1/2 CUP CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR
- 1 TABLESPOON BRANDY
- 2 TEASPOONS WATER
- 2 1/4 CUPS ALMONDS
- 2 CUPS FLOUR
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
- CREAM BUTTER WITH POWDERED SUGAR UNTIL LIGHT. MIX IN BRANDY AND WATER, SET ASIDE.
- CHOP ALMONDS IN A FOOD PROCESSOR AND SET ASIDE A 1/2 CUP.
- ADD THE REST OF THE ALMONDS TO MIXTURE. STIR IN FLOUR AND MIX WELL.
- CHILL DOUGH UNTIL STIFF ENOUGH TO MOLD.
- SHAPE 1 TABLESLPOON OF DOUGH INTO A CRESCENT. DIP INTO ADDITIONAL RESERVED CHOPPED ALMONDS. PLACE ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET AND BAKE 12 TO 15 MINUTES.
- REMOVE FROM OVEN AND PLACE ON A WIRE RACK TO SLIGHTLY COOL.
- ROLL GENTLY IN ADDITIONAL POWDERED SUGAR AFTER COOLING.
