    List of Ingredients


    • 1 CUP SWEET BUTTER OR MARGARINE
    • 1/4 CUP SUGAR
    • 3/4 CUPS BROWN PACKED SUGAR
    • 1 TEASPOON VANILLA
    • 2 BEATEN EGGS
    • 1 PACKAGE INSTANT VANILLA PUDDING, 4 SERVING SIZE
    • 2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
    • 12 OUNCE PACKAGE SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
    • CHOPPED PECANS OR WALNUTS, OPTIONAL


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 375°. GREASE A COOKIE SHEET AND SET ASIDE.
    2. BEAT THE BUTTER AND THE TWO SUGARS TOGETHER UNTIL CREAMY AND SMOOTH. BEAT IN EGGS AND VANILLA.
    3. COMBINE DRY PUDDING MIX WITH THE BUTTER MIXTURE AND BEAT UNTIL SMOOTH AND CREAMY.
    4. COMBINE TOGETHER THE FLOUR AND BAKING SODA, ADD GRADUALLY. MIX CHOCOLATE CHIPS INTO DOUGH AND NUTS IF USING. THE BATTER SHOULD BE STIFF.
    5. DROP BY SPOONFULS ONTO COOKIE SHEET.
    6. BAKE FOR 8 TO 10 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. LET REST ON COOKIE SHEET FOR 2 TO 3 MINUTES TILL COOL BEFORE REMOVING. REMOVE TO A WIRE RACK TO COOL COMPLETELY.
    7. THESE COOKIES ARE VERY SOFT.
