    DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

    I LOVE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, ESPECIALLY WHEN I ADD A LOT OF PECANS TO THEM.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 CUPS SOFTENED BUTTER OR MARGARINE
    • 1 1/4 CUPS GRANULATED SUGAR
    • 1 1/4 CUPS PACKED BROWN SUGAR
    • 1 TABLESPOON VANILLA
    • 2 EGGS
    • 4 CUPS FLOUR
    • 2 TEASPOONS BAKING SODA
    • 1 TEASPOON SALT
    • 1 PACKAGE ( 24 OZ.) SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS ( 4 CUPS)
    • 1 1/2 TO 2 CUPS CHOPPED PECANS ( OPTIONAL)


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
    2. MIX BUTTER, SUGARS, VANILLA AND EGGS IN A LARGE BOWL USING A WOODEN SPOON. STIR IN FLOUR, BAKING SODA AND SALT. STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND PECANS, MIXING WELL.
    3. DROP DOUGH BY ROUNDED TABLESPOONFULL ABOUT 2" APART ONTO AN UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET.
    4. BAKE 12 TO 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWN. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND COOL SLIGHTLY. THEN REMOVE TO A WIRE RACK AND COOL COMPLETELY.


    Final Comments


    I LIKE MY COOKIES ON THE SOFTER SIDE, SO I UNDER BAKE THEM BY A COUPLE OF MINUTES ( APPROXIMATELY 8 TO 10 MINUTES). IF YOU PERFER A HARDER COOKIE THEN BAKE THEM 12 TO 15 MINUTES.
