PEANUT BUTTER SWIRLS COOKIES
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 CUP SHORTENING
- 1 CUP SUGAR
- 1/2 CUP PEANUT BUTTER
- 1 EGG
- 2 TABLESLPOONS MILK
- 1 1/4 CUP FLOUR
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/2 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
- 1 CUP CHOCOLATE CHIPS
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 375°.
- CREAM SHORTENING AND SUGAR, BEAT IN PEANUT BUTTER, EGG AND MILK.
- SIFT TOGETHER THE DRY INGREDIENTS AND ADD, MIXING WELL.
- ROLL DOUGH OUT ON WAXED PAPER ITNO A 15 X8X1/4" THICK RECTANGLE.
- MELT CHOCOLATE CHIPS IN A DOUBLE BOILER AND SPREAD ON DOUGH. ROLL UP JELLY ROLL STYLE, USING THE WAX PAPER TO LIFT SLIGHTLY AT THE TURNS. CHILL FOR AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR.
- SLICE THE COOKIES 1/4" THICK. BAKE ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEETS FOR 8 TO 10 MINUTES.
