THIN, CRISPY & CHEWY CHOCO CHIP COOKIES
I GOT THIS RECIPE FROM THE MARTHA STEWART TV SHOW. THEY ARE HER DAUGHTER'S FAVORITE COOKIES. THEY ARE DELICIOUS AND JUST LIKE THE NAME IMPLIES, THEY ARE THIN, CRISPY AND CHEWY.YOU CAN'T EAT JUST ONE.
List of Ingredients
- 4 STICKS SOFTENED SWEET BUTTER, DO NOT SUBSTITUTE
- 1 CUP SUGAR
- 3 CUPS PACKED BROWN SUGAR
- 4 EGGS
- 2 TEASPOONS VANILLA
- 3 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
- 2 TEASPOONS BAKING SODA
- 1 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 1 1/2 CUPS CHOCOLATE CHIPS
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 375°.
- SIFT TOGETHER IN A LARGE BOWL, THE FLOUR, BAKING SODA AND SALT. SET ASIDE.
- CREAM THE BUTTER AND SUGAR WELL, ADD BROWN SUGAR AND BEAT UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. ADD VANILLA AND BLEND IN.
- ADD FLOUR MIXTURE AND MIX TO INCORPORATE, ADD THE CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND MIX WELL. WRAP AND CHILL IN REFRIGERATOR.
- SCOOP OUT ONTO A LIGHTLY GREASED BAKING SHEET, 3" APART( NOTE: THESE COOKIES SPREAD) AND BAKE FOR 8 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND ALLOW TO SIT FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES. REMOVE TO A WIRE RACK.
