HOT CHEESE AND BACON DIP
List of Ingredients
- 16 SLICES BACON, DICED
- 2 ( 8 OUNCE PACKAGES) SOFTENED AND CUBED CREAM CHEESE
- 4 CUPS MILK SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE
- 1 CUP HALF AND HALF
- 2 TEASPOONS WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
- 1 TEASPOON DRY MINCED ONION
- 1/2 TEASPOON DRY MUSTARD
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 2 TO 3 DROPS TABASCO SAUCE
Instructions
- FRY DICED BACON IN A SKILLET UNTIL CRISP, DRAIN ON PAPER TOWELS AND SET ASIDE.
- PLACE CREAM CHEESE, CHEDDAR CHEESE, HALF AND HALF, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE, MINCED ONION, MUSTARD, SALT AND TABASCO IN CROCKPOT. SET ON "LOW" AND ALLOW CHEESE TO MELT, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY FOR ABOUT "1 HOUR". TASTE AND ADJUST SEASONINGS. THEN STIR IN BACON AND SERVE DIRECTLY FROM CROCKPOT. SET CONTROL TO LOW FOR SERVING.
- SERVE WITH FRUIT SLICES SUCH AS APPLES OR PEARS THAT WERE DIPPED IN LEMON JUICE ( THIS PREVENTS BROWNING) OR FRENCH BREAD SLICES.
