List of Ingredients
- 3 LBS GROUND BEEF
- 1 CUP CHOPPED ONION
- 2 CLOVES GARLIC, MINCED OR 1/4 TEASPOON GARLIC POWDER
- 1 1/2 CUPS KETCHUP
- 1 CUP CHOPPED GREEN SWEET PEPPER
- 1/2 CUP WATER
- 4 TABLESPOONS EACH BROWN SUGAR, PREPARED MUSTARD, VINEGAR AND WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
- 3 TEASPOONS CHILI POWDER
- HAMBURGER BUNS
Instructions
- IN A LARGE SKILLET BROWN GROUND BEEF, ONION AND GARLIC. COOK UNTIL MEAT IS BROWN AND ONION IS TENDER. DRAIN OFF FAT.
- IN ANY SIZE CROCKPOT, COMBINE KETCHUP, GREEN PEPPER, WATER, BROWN SUGAR, MUSTARD, VINEGAR, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE AND CHILI POWDER. STIR IN MEAT MIXTURE. COVER AND COOK ON "LOW" FOR 6 TO 8 HOURS OR "HIGH" 3 TO 4 HOURS. SPOON MIXTURE INTO HAMBURGER BUNS.

- VARIATIONS: SUBSTITUTE GROUND TURKEY, CHICKEN OR PORK IN PLACE OF GROUND BEEF.
