List of Ingredients
- 1 ENVELOPE UNFLAVORED GELATIN
- 1/4 CUP ORANGE JUICE
- 3 CUPS FRESH STRAWBERRIES
- 1/4 CUP CONFECTIONERS SUGAR
- 1/3 CUP WHIPPING CREAM
- 4 EGG WHITES
- 1/4 CUP SUGAR
Instructions
- SPRINKLE THE GELATIN OVER THE ORANGE JUICE IN A MEDIUM SAUCEPAN. LET IT STAND 5 MINUTES TO SOFTEN. WARM OVER LOW HEAT UNTIL GELATIN HAS DISSOLVED.
- HULL STRAWBERRIS AND PLACE IN A FOOD PROCESSOR OR BLENDER. ADD SUGAR AND PROCESS JUST UNTIL PUREED.
- TRANSFER TO A MIXING BOWL AND STIR IN GELATIN MIXTURE. REFRIGERATE UNTIL MIXTURE IS THE CONSISTENCY OF RAW EGG WHITES.
- WHIP CREAM AND SET ASIDE.
- IN A LARGE BOWL, BEAT EGG WHITES UNTIL SOFT PEAKS FORM. WHISK ABOUT 1/4 OF BEATEN EGG WHITES INTO STRAWBERRY MIXTURE.
- FOLD IN STRAWBERRY MIXTURE AND WHIPPED CREAM INTO REMAINING BEATEN WHITES.
- POUR INTO 6 DESSERT GLASS SERVING BOWLS AND REFRIGERATE AT LEAST 4 HOURS OR UP TO SEVERAL DAYS.
- GARNISH WITH FRESH STRAWBERRIES. 6 SERVINGS
