BAKED APPLE DUMPLINGS
List of Ingredients
- 2 TABLESPOONS SUGAR
- 4 MEDIUM THINLY SLICED GRANNY SLMITH APPLES
- 12 CANNED BISCUITS
- 1 CUP LIGHT BROWN SUGAR
- 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
- 1 STICK BUTTER OR MARGARINE
- 2 CUPS OF 7 UP SODA OR ORANGE JUICE
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°. BUTTER OR SPRAY WITH VEGETABLE SPRAY A CASSEROLE DISH. SET ASIDE.
- SPRINKLE SUGAR OVER SLICED APPLES. ROLL OUT BISCUIT DOUGH AND PLACE APPLE SLICES ON BISCUITS, PINCH DOUGH UP AROUND THE APPLES.
- LAY DUMPLINGS IN PREPARED CASSEROLE DISH.
- MIX BROWN SUGAR, CINNAMON, BUTTER AND SODA OR JUICE IN A SAUCEPAN AND BRING TO A BOIL, WHILE STIRRING. POUR MIXTURE OVER DUMPLINGS AND BAKE FOR 30 MINUTES. SERVE WARM SPRINKLED LIGHTLY WITH POWDERED SUGAR.
