SESAME BEEF AND PEPPERS
List of Ingredients
- 1 LB BONELESS SIRLOIN BEEF OR TOP ROUND STEAK 3/4" THICK
- 2 TABLESPOONS VEGETABLE OIL
- 2 CUPS GREEN OR RED PEPPERS CUT INTO 2" LONG STRIPS
- 1 CUP SLICED LARGE ONION
- 1/4 TEASPOON GARLIC POWDER
- 12 OUNCE JAR PEPPERIDGE FARM HEARTY BEEF GRAVY
- 1 TABLESPOON SOY SAUCE
- 1 TABLESPOON SESAME OIL, OPTIONAL
- 4 CUPS COOKED RICE
Instructions
- SLICE BEEF INTO VERY THIN STRIPS.
- IN A SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HIGH HEAT, HEAT 1/2 OF THE VEGETABLE OIL, ADD BEEF AND COOK IN 2 BATCHES UNTIL BROWNED STIRRING OFTEN. REMOVE MEAT AND SET ASIDE.
- REDUCE HEAT TO MEDIUM AND ADD PEPPERS, ONIONS AND GARLIC POWDER WITH REMAINING VEGETABLE OIL. COOK UNTIL TENDER CRISP.
- ADD GRAVY, SOY SAUCE, SESAME SEED OIL. HEAT TO BOIL. RETURN BEEF TO PAN AND HEAT THROOUGH.
- SERVE OVER COOKED RICE
