    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 LBS GROUND BEEF
    • 1 SMALL RED ONION, DICED
    • 1 TO 2 RIBS CELERY, DICED
    • 1/2 TO 1 TEASPOON MINCED GARLIC
    • 1/4 CUP COOKING SHERRY
    • 20 OUNCE CAN CRUSHED TOMATOES
    • 8 OUNCE CAN TOMATO SAUCE
    • 6 OUNCE TOMATO PASTE OR LESS TO TASTE
    • 1 TO 2 TEASPOONS PAPRIKA
    • 1/2 TEASPOON GROUND BLACK PEPPER
    • 1 1/2 TEASPOON DRIED OREGANO
    • 1 TEASPOON DRIED BASIL
    • 1/4 TEASPOON CURRY POWDER
    • 1 1/2 TABLESPOONS WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
    • 1 SQUIRT OF YELLOW MUSTARD
    • 4 OUNCE CAN MUSHROOM STEMS AND PIECES, DRAINED OR 1/2 CUP SLICED FRESH MUSHROOMS
    • 1/4 CUP GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE


    Instructions


    1. SAUTE GROUND BEEF IN A LARGE SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HEAT. WHEN ALMOST COMPLETELY BROWNED, ADD ONION, CELERY AND GARLIC UNTIL AL DENTE. DRAIN OFF AND FAT, IF DESIRED.
    2. ADD COOKING SHERRY AND SIMMER FOR A FEW MINUTES. ADD CRUSHED TOMATOES AND STIR. ADD TOMATO SAUCE AND STIR TO BLEND.
    3. ADD ENOUGH TOMATO PASTE FOR MIXTURE TO REACH DESIRED CONSISTENCY. STIR IN PAPRIKA, PEPPER, OREGANO, BASIL, CURRY POWDER, WORCESTERSHIRE AND MUSTARD. STIR WELL TO INCORPORATE ALL INGREDIENTS. TASTE SAUCE AND ADD ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS TO TASTE.
    4. SIMMER 15 TO 30 MINUTES. STIR IN MUSHROOMS AND CHEESE.
    5. SERVE WITH YOUR FAVORITE PASTA.
    6. SERVES 4 TO 6
