VEAL IN WHITE WINE SAUCE

- 1 POUND VEAL CUT INTO SMALL STRIPS ABOUT 1 1/2" LONG
- 1 TABLESPOON FLOUR
- 1/2 TESPOON SALT
- GROUND PEPPER
- VEGETABLE OIL

- SAUCE:
- 1 TABLESPOON MARGARINE OR BUTTER
- 1/2 ONION, FINELY CHOPPED
- 6 OUONCES THINLY SLICED MUSHROOMS
- 1 TEASPOON LEMON JUICE
- 1/2 CUPDRY WHITE WINE
- 1/2 CUP BOUILLON
- 1 CUP CREAM
- 1 TABLESPOONS CORN STARACH
Instructions
- MIX MEAT WITH FLOUR, SALT AND PEPPER. SAUTE THE MEAT IN SOME VEGETABLE OIL . REMOVE FROM PAN AND SET ASIDE AND KEEP WARM.
- WIPE SKILLET WITH PAPER TOWEL.
- HEAT THE BUTTER OR MARGARINE IN THE SAME SKILLET AND ADD ONION, SAUTE FOR 1 TO 2 MINUTES.
- IN A SEPARATE BOWL, TOSS THE MUSHROOMS WITH THE LEMON JUICE, THEN ADD TO SKILLET AND SAUTE 3 TO 4 MINUTES. ADD 1/2 CUP DRY WHITE WINE AND LET IT REDUCE OR COOK DOWN TO HALF.
- IN A SEPARATE BOWL, MIX TOGETHER THE BOUILLON, CREAM AND CORNSTARCH AND THEN ADD TO SKILLET. ADD MEAT AND REHEAT. SEASON TO TASTE. SPRINKLE WITH FINELY CHOPPED PARSLEY. SERVE WITH NOODLES, RICE OR HASHBROWN.
