- 3/4 CUPS SUGAR
- 1/2 CUP FIRMLY PACKED DARK BROWN SUGAR
- 1 CUP CHOCOLATE COVERED RAISINS
- 1/2 CUP MILK CHOCOLATE CHIP MORSELS
- 1 3/4 CUPS FLOUR MIXED WITH 1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER AND 1/2 TEASPOON BAKING SODA

- INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW:
USE 1 QUART WIDE MOUTH CANNING JARS. ALSO USE ONLY BUTTER OR MARGARINE, NOT DIET MARGARINE, IT WILL NOT WORK IN THIS RECIPE. LINE YOUR COOKIE SHEEETS WITH PARCHMENT PAPER. "DO NOT USE WAXED PAPER" OR YOU CAN LIGHTLY GREASE OR SPRAY COOKIE SHEETS WITH A VEGETABLE SPRAY.
- STORE COOKIE MIX IN A COOL DRY PLACE AWAY FROM HEAT SO THAT CONDENSATION DOES NOT OCCUR AND CONTENTS DO NOT MELT OR CLUMP TOGETHER. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
- LAYER INGREDIENTS IN ORDER GIVEN IN A QUART SIZE CANNING JAR. PRESS EACH LAYER FIRMLY IN PLACE MAKING SURE YOU REALLY PACK IT DOWN BEFORE YOU ADD THE FLOUR MIXTURE, IT WILL BE A TIGHT FIT.

MAKES 2 1/2 DOZEN COOKIES
COOKIE MIX
1 STICK BUTTER OR MARGARINE, SOFTENED
1 EGG SLIGHTLY BEATEN
1 TEASPOON VANILLA
EMPTY COOKIE MIX INTO LARGE MIXING BOWL. USE YOUR HANDS TO THOROUGHLY BLEND MIX.
ADD BUTTER, EGG AND VANILLA.
MIX UNTIL COMPLETELY BLENDED. YOU WILL NEED TO FINISH MIXING WITH YOUR HANDS.
SHAPE INTO WALNUT SIZED BALLS. PLALCE 2" APART ON A PARCHMENT LINED COOKIE SHEET.
BAKE IN A PREHEATED 375° OVEN FOR 13 TO 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL TOPS ARE VERY LIGHTLY BROWNED. COOL 5 MINUTES ON BAKING SHEET. REMOVE COOKIES TO WIRE RACKS TO FINISH COOLING.
