CARMEL CINNAMON NUT MUFFIN
List of Ingredients
- 3 TABLESPOONS BUTTER
- 2/3 CUPS PACKED BROWN SUGAR
- 2 CUPS SIFTED FLOUR, MEASURE AFTER SIFTING
- 3 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
- 1 EGG
- 1 CUP MILK
- 2 TABLESPOONS MELTED SHORTENING
- 1/2 TO 1 CUP CHOPPED PECANS OR WALNUTS
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 425°. GREASE MUFFIN PANS AND PLACE 1/2 TEASPOON OF BUTTER AND 1 TEASPOON BROWN SUGAR IN EACH CUP.
- SIFT FLOUR BAKING POWDER, SALT AND CINNAMON TOGETHER IN A BOWL.
- BEAT EGG AND ADD MILK, SHORTENING AND REMAINING 1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR. ADD TO SIFTED DRY INGREDIENTS, STIRRING ONLY ENOUGH TO MOISTEN ALL THE DRY INGREDIENTS. FOLD IN CHOPPED NUTS.
- FILL MUFFIN PANS 3/4 FULL AND BAKE FOR 20 MINUTES.
